Behind a solid performance from left fielder Tony Martínez, the Frisco RoughRiders defeated the Midland RockHounds, 9-8. Martínez was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs for the RoughRiders. The victory puts Frisco at 11-32.

Clarence Bates delivered a big hit for Frisco. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the RoughRiders ahead, 8-5. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
