RoughRiders Earn 5-2 Home Win
|
The Frisco RoughRiders got a stellar effort from pitcher José Miranda, helping Frisco score a win over the visiting Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Miranda, now 3-4. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Dan Lowe, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.
Frisco took a 4-2 lead on Lou Horn's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Horn hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Northwest Arkansas pitcher António Díaz visibly frustrated.
"José doing his thing just hyped us all up," said Frisco manager Mike Breyman.
With the win, the RoughRiders are 13-35.
