The Frisco RoughRiders spoiled a good performance by Midland center fielder Eric Brown, bumping off Midland, 8-7, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Brown went 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The RoughRiders raised their record to 18-42.

Jesús Rodríguez went 1-4 for Frisco. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Víctor Franco. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
