San Antonio turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jerry Lawrence into a 3-2 triumph over the Frisco RoughRiders at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The winner was Lawrence. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Moises Cedeno. Sergio Guzmán earned the save for San Antonio, his 4th of the year.

Greg Benner had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for San Antonio. He came through with a run-scoring single to put San Antonio in front, 3-1.

After the game, San Antonio manager Nick Vincent applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

The win puts San Antonio at 42-20 this season.
