Hooks Rally to Nose Past San Antonio
|
The Corpus Christi Hooks topped the San Antonio Missions, 3-2, in Texas League action at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Corpus Christi pitcher and Baltimore, Maryland, native Jimmy Rollins Jr.. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Zimmerman in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Tyler Wood took the loss. The save was credited to Raúl Muñíz, his 10th.
Tim Ramírez contributed to the Corpus Christi win with a solo home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 7 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
