Midland pitcher Nacho Romero did his part in helping his team defeat the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Romero picked up the win for Midland, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. The setback makes Frisco 39-32.

Mike Jefferson had a big 2-run double for the RockHounds in the bottom of the first inning. With Midland leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Jesús García, who is tied for 3rd in the TEX with a 1.15 WHIP, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RockHounds ahead, 3-0.
