The Frisco RoughRiders topped the Midland RockHounds, 9-7, in 14 innings at Security Bank Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Frisco pitcher Jorge Montoya. The RoughRiders lead the South Division by 2 games.

Joe Howgill hit a 2-run home run off Derek Brown in the top of the 14th, which put the RoughRiders ahead, 9-7. In addition to the homer, Howgill had 1 double, while going 2 for 7.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Howgill told the Frisco Citizen.
