Behind a solid performance from right fielder Andy Ryan, the Frisco RoughRiders defeated the Midland RockHounds, 8-6. Ryan was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the RoughRiders. Reliever Manny Sánchez picked up the win. His record improves to 5-3. Jesús Ramos took the loss. The third-place RoughRiders have won 4 in a row.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Frisco trailing 6-4, Ryan jumped on a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jesús Ramos and hit a grand slam home run to right-center. With one swing, the RoughRiders had a walk-off win.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Ryan.
