Naturals Win with Late Rally
Frisco first baseman Eric Hankins had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hankins was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, even as Northwest Arkansas beat the RoughRiders, 8-7. Northwest Arkansas reliever Del Jacobs got the win, raising his record to 5-4. Robby Smith was tagged with the loss. Andy Elder stitched up the save, his 1st.

Northwest Arkansas used the timely hitting of Edwin Wolf to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Naturals on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Wolf.

Northwest Arkansas, at 45-40, holds down third place in the North Division.
