The Corpus Christi Hooks stopped the San Antonio Missions, 10-5, at Whataburger Field. The Hooks got a big game from Curt Burton, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Wes Carter, the winner, is now 9-6. Joe O'Herlihy had a big 3-run home run for the Hooks in the bottom of the third inning. With Corpus Christi leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a knuckle curve from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jerry Weaver and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Hooks on top, 6-0.
