Naturals Pick Up 5-1 Win Against Frisco
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Northwest Arkansas-Frisco ballgame.
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals picked up a win at Arvest Ballpark, knocking off the Frisco RoughRiders, 5-1. Starting pitcher Steve Bell was a big reason why. In 6 innings, Bell surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run.
The Naturals got a big at-bat from first baseman Myron Grant. For the game, Grant went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 21st double of the season gave Northwest Arkansas a 2-1 lead.
"If you beat me, you beat me, if not, good things will happen," said Bell.
The triumph makes Northwest Arkansas 32-88.
