The Corpus Christi Hooks racked up a win at Whataburger Field, bumping off the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 2-1. Don Scott, who started for Corpus Christi, pitched effectively for his team. Scott got the win, improving to 6-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Picking up the save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher António Solís.

Juan Gutiérrez, who is tied for 7th in the TEX in stolen bases with 12, aided the Corpus Christi cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a hit by pitch.
