Thunder Win, 8-4, Versus Binghamton
|
The Trenton Thunder downed the Binghamton Mets, 8-4, at NYSEG Stadium. The Thunder were led by António De La Torre. De La Torre went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs. So far, the 2026 season has been disappointing for Binghamton, now 4-8.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Brendan Morgan came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Binghamton pitcher Tomás Ganoso, he hit a 0-1 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Trenton on top, 4-3.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Trenton skipper Eric Owens.
