Corpus Christi picked up a win at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, bumping off the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-3. Pitcher Jed Maxharraj was a major reason the Hooks emerged victorious. The winner was Maxharraj. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Willie Miller.

Corpus Christi used a well-timed hit by Josh Burkett to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hooks ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Maxharraj.
