Juan Gutiérrez powered the Corpus Christi Hooks to a win over the Frisco RoughRiders. The final score was 6-5. The Corpus Christi left fielder, who is tied for 8th in the TEX in stolen bases with 12, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Gutiérrez had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from Chris Martin, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Hooks a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Gutiérrez.
