Hooks Lose to RoughRiders, 5-2

Frisco pitcher José Miranda did his part in helping his team beat the Corpus Christi Hooks, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Miranda, now 5-14, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 3, walking 6, and allowing no runs. Dan Lowe earned his 11th save in 13 tries.
Joe Holland hit a run-scoring triple off Dan Ball in the bottom of the fourth, which put the RoughRiders in front, 1-0. Holland had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
Frisco manager Mike Breyman commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
Frisco is now 34-94, Corpus Christi 71-57.
