Despite a great performance by Arkansas shortstop Charlie Hall, the Tulsa Drillers defeated the Travelers by the score of 9-4 at Dickey-Stephens Park. Hall went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Norberto Valdés, the winning pitcher, is now 5-2. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 4. Alex Durham earned the save, his 2nd.
Curt Evans helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Drillers.
Afterward, Arkansas manager Mike Redmond said: "We've hit a rough patch."
The Drillers, at 82-49, have now won 4 straight.
