Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Visalia Rawhide third baseman Kian-zhi Li, who missed the team's pre-game session at San Jose Municipal Stadium but peppered the San Jose Giants for 5 hits come game time. The Rawhide went on to grab the 8-1 win.


"I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often."


Kian-zhi Li singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Doug Taylor in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
