Marc Reynolds was instrumental in his team's 8-5 triumph over the Modesto Nuts. The second baseman was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Bakersfield Blaze. Modesto drops to 1-3.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Blaze grabbed the lead when Reynolds hit his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Mike Sanford made it 8-5, Bakersfield.
