Bakersfield registered a win at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark by beating the Visalia Rawhide, 8-4. Pitcher Raúl García was one reason why the Blaze triumphed. Jared McCarthy closed it out for his 2nd save. The win gives the Blaze a record of 5-2.

Tony Villarreal took Visalia hurler Magnus Adriansen deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Blaze on top, 2-0. In all, Villarreal had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
