Visalia left fielder Tony Gómez was instrumental in helping the Rawhide triumph, 5-2, over the Bakersfield Blaze. Gómez slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Conner Prowse nailed down the save. The defeat makes Bakersfield 7-5.

José Méndez, who is tied for 6th in the CAL in stolen bases with 1, aided the Visalia cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-3 with a walk.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Méndez said after the game.
