Ernie Palmer did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the San Jose Giants from being beaten, 7-6, to the Visalia Rawhide at Recreation Park. Palmer went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Earning his 1st save of the year was José Gonzáles. Visalia has a record of 9-13.

Kian-zhi Li chipped in for Visalia, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the third baseman was 2-4 with a double.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Li.
