Green Leads Blaze to 6-4 Win Over Rawhide
The Bakersfield Blaze beat the Visalia Rawhide, 6-4, at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. Bakersfield center fielder Ed Green had the hot bat. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Chris Hall. He went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 14 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 1. Chad Payling closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.

Green had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 cutter from Xavier Villa, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Blaze a 6-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Green.

Bakersfield manager Joe McEwing praised his team's "energy."
