Quakes Slap 6-4 Loss on Lake Elsinore
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes dealt the Lake Elsinore Storm a 6-4 loss at LoanMart Field. Tim Smith was the star on offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Rancho Cucamonga reliever Octávio Vázquez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Nacho Padilla took the loss. Ken Smith earned the save for Rancho Cucamonga, his 5th of the year.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Eric Columbus had a game-changing hit. The Quakes first baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Ben Wilson, making the score 6-4, Rancho Cucamonga.
