Lake Elsinore and Modesto got after it at Lake Elsinore Diamond.

The Lake Elsinore Storm beat the Modesto Nuts by a score of 7-4. Lake Elsinore shortstop Enzo Tasso deserved the lion's share of the credit. Tasso was 2-2 with 2 doubles and 3 walks. He scored 3 times for the Storm. Lake Elsinore reliever Calogero Benizi picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mike Sanford was saddled with the loss. Luis Maldonado picked up the save for Lake Elsinore, his 3rd of the year.

Tasso had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Storm went on to win.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Storm," said Tasso.

Lake Elsinore is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 6th win in 26 games.
