Johnson Excels, But Giants Win
The Stockton Ports got a superb performance from designated hitter Alex Johnson, but the San Jose Giants still won the game, 5-4. Johnson hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The loss lowers the Stockton record to 16-10.

Making an impact for the home team was Ken Lewis. In the bottom of the fifth, the 23-year old center fielder had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. That made the score 5-3, Giants.
