With Late Score, Mavericks Beat Rawhide
|
The High Desert Mavericks got a magnificent effort from pitcher Enrico Flores, who kept Visalia hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Mavericks win at Recreation Park. High Desert goes to 13-13.
High Desert took a 1-0 lead on Shawn Collins's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Collins hit in the top of the seventh, left Visalia pitcher Jerry White visibly frustrated.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Flores said.
