Stevenson Leads Nuts to Win
A good performance from left fielder Tim Stevenson helped the Modesto Nuts defeat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 14-9. Stevenson was 2 for 4 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Nuts. With the loss, Lake Elsinore is 14-14.

Modesto needed the clutch hitting of Joe Miller to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Nuts on top, 12-9. For the game, Miller had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
