The San Jose Giants picked up a win at San Jose Municipal Stadium, topping the Stockton Ports, 10-2. On the mound for San Jose was right-hander Andy Dunbar. He played a principal role in the triumph. The win brings the Giants to 17-11, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

In the bottom of the second, San Jose first baseman Ed Keller had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Keller stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-1, San Jose. For the game, he was 1-4 with a hit by pitch.

Stockton manager Kelly Stinnett said: "You try to find positives. We have to regroup and put this game behind us."
