|
San Jose starter Don Davis clamped down on the Modesto offense, while his team cruised to victory, 11-0. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Giants.
Álex Ramos had a big grand slam home run for the Giants in the bottom of the second inning. With San Jose leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a slider from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Sanford and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Giants on top, 5-0.
"Not my idea of a good time," Modesto manager Audo Vicente said, when asked afterward about the game.
