The San Jose Giants took on the Modesto Nuts at San Jose Municipal Stadium.
The San Jose Giants beat the Modesto Nuts, 6-1, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Josh Ford, who is tied for 3rd in the CAL in RBI with 30, starred for San Jose. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Eric Farrell picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Steve Jensen suffered the loss.
Early in the game, Ford had a 2-run home run for San Jose. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Giants on top, 2-0.
San Jose manager Jake Arrieta said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
With the victory, the Giants upped their record to 30-15.
