Ports Pick Up 8-3 Win Against Modesto
|
Stockton starter Dave Wood pitched well against the Modesto Nuts at John Thurman Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-3. The defeat makes Modesto 17-29.
In the top of the second, Dan Hines delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Stockton left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Ports in front, 8-3.
"Dave didn't fool around out there," said Stockton field general Kelly Stinnett.
