In a low-scoring contest between the Lake Elsinore Storm and the Visalia Rawhide, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Geoff Erickson proved to be the difference. The Lake Elsinore right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Storm win. Lake Elsinore pitcher Ben Wilson earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Conner Prowse suffered the loss. The last-place Rawhide have lost 6 consecutive games.

Lake Elsinore used the timely hitting of Israel López to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Storm on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said López.
