Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Stockton Ports and Visalia Rawhide.
The 3-RBI night of catcher Jim Campbell, who is tied for 9th in the CAL in bases on balls with 22, helped the Stockton Ports triumph, 6-5, over the Visalia Rawhide. With the win over Visalia, the Ports improved to 24-27.
With Stockton leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Campbell hit a fastball from Ed Norton for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Ports ahead, 5-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Campbell told the Stockton Citizen.
