Rancho Cucamonga Quakes starter Joe Groves turned in an exceptional performance against the Lancaster JetHawks at LoanMart Field, resulting in a Rancho Cucamonga win, 5-2. Walt West locked down his 2nd save. The win puts Rancho Cucamonga at 28-28 this season.

The Quakes got a big at-bat from center fielder Bob Morris. For the game, Morris went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Rancho Cucamonga a 4-0 lead.

"For the most part, I felt like I did a pretty good job with executing the pitches I was throwing," said Groves.
