Quakes Walk It Off for 29th Win of Season
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes starter Joe James turned in a top-notch performance against the Lancaster JetHawks at LoanMart Field. The result was a win for the Quakes, 5-2. Ed McClain came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. The win for the Quakes lifted their record to 29-28.

Rancho Cucamonga got a knockout punch from Ken Goodman. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Joe is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Rancho Cucamonga manager Matt Holliday.
