The Lake Elsinore Storm topped the High Desert Mavericks, 3-2, in California League action at Lake Elsinore Diamond. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lake Elsinore first baseman Jeremy Haley. Lake Elsinore reliever Luis Maldonado was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Ron Combs took the loss. The victory puts Lake Elsinore at 25-39.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Haley hit a fastball from Ron Combs for a solo home run. The Storm, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Lake Elsinore manager Chris Greene called it "a pretty good win."
