The Inland Empire 66ers eked out a 3-2 win versus the Modesto Nuts at John Thurman Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Clarence Sharp. He was terrific. José Martínez notched his 4th save of the season. The victory puts Inland Empire at 22-47.

The 66ers got a big at-bat from second baseman Alvin Roe. For the game, Roe went 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 7th triple of the season gave Inland Empire a 2-0 lead.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Sharp told the Inland Empire Gazette.
