Mavericks Pull Off Thrilling 6-3 Win in Extras
The High Desert Mavericks defeated the Modesto Nuts, 6-3, in 10 innings at John Thurman Field. Kade Riley, who is tied for 10th in the CAL in doubles with 16, was a standout performer for High Desert. His 4 hits included 1 single and 3 doubles -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 3 he knocked in. The win was credited to Víctor Sánchez in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Orlando Rodríguez took the loss. The win boosted High Desert to 38-32.

Joe Elliott, who is tied for 4th in the CAL in total bases with 117, helped out the High Desert cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 2-6 with a double.
