The Lancaster JetHawks defeated the Modesto Nuts, 8-3, in part because of shortstop Steve Peterson. Peterson went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the JetHawks. The win puts Lancaster at 41-32 this season.

In the bottom of the sixth, the JetHawks grabbed the lead when Peterson hit his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Phil Kenney made it 5-3, Lancaster.

Lancaster manager Travis Witherspoon commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
