Giants Earn Win with Late Rally
In a low-scoring tilt between the San Jose Giants and the High Desert Mavericks, Ismael Lucero, who is tied for 4th in the CAL in quality starts with 11, was the difference-maker. The San Jose right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. San Jose reliever Hal Powell got the win, raising his record to 3-5. Ben Tucker was tagged with the loss. The Mavericks, at 44-54, have lost 5 in a row.

The Giants got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Leo Dodson. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Giants.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Dodson.
