Chris Hall kept the Modesto Nuts hitters from doing much damage at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark.

Modesto could only muster 5 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Hall, who controlled them throughout the game. Bakersfield won the contest, 8-0. Hall added 12 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Hall told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
