The skies opened up and the rain fell at NYSEG Stadium.

The Trenton Thunder overcame a good performance by Binghamton center fielder Juan Rodríguez to knock off Binghamton, 6-4, at NYSEG Stadium. Rodríguez was 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Luis C. Gonzalez earned save number 1 this season.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ben Simmons? The Trenton third baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunder on top, 6-4. For the game, Simmons had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
