Quakes Lose at Home, 4-3
|
The Lancaster JetHawks beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 4-3. Lancaster pitcher and Leavenworth, Kansas, native Jeff Shelton led the way. Lancaster now sits at 51-52, while Rancho Cucamonga falls to 58-45.
Lancaster used a well-timed hit by Randy Alexander to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the JetHawks ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Shelton.
