Pitcher António Ríos was rock solid in helping the High Desert Mavericks beat the Inland Empire 66ers, 3-0. The Mavericks improved to 48-59.

High Desert took a 3-0 lead on Johnny Anderson's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Anderson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Inland Empire pitcher Shawn Rice visibly frustrated.

"António did a good job of shutting their lineup down," said High Desert manager Vance Wilson.
