Mavericks Trip JetHawks, 10-9, in Extra Innings
The High Desert Mavericks did just enough to secure a victory over the Lancaster JetHawks, 10-9, in 11 innings at Stater Bros. Stadium. Nobody did more than catcher Dana Webb. The win for the Mavericks lifted their record to 68-54.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when High Desert second baseman Chris Long, facing Rob Johnstone, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Mavericks the 10-9 win.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Long.
