San Jose Giants starter Don Davis pitched a strong game against the Lancaster JetHawks at The Hanger, leading the Giants to victory, 7-6. Edgardo Roa closed out the game, earning his 13th save. The Giants lead the North Division by 4 games.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Pancho Soto came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Lancaster pitcher Luis Gallegos, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting San Jose on top, 7-6.

"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Davis said in postgame remarks.
