The Rawhide earned a hard-fought, 5-4 win in 10 innings at John Thurman Field. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Modesto pitcher Andy Baker. Baker went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Reliever José Gonzáles picked up the win. His record improves to 2-4. Killian Freake took the loss. The Rawhide now have a record of 44-86.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Mike Saul? The 25-year old center fielder Saul stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Visalia up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We found a way to get it done," Saul said.
