Though he had a terrific game, Joe Farley could not prevent his team, the Potomac Nationals, from absorbing a loss. Winston-Salem won the game, 8-4. Farley went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Dave Cobb earned the save for Winston-Salem, his 2nd. The loss drops Potomac to 0-3.
