The Lynchburg Hillcats beat the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Ed Smith Stadium. The final score was 7-3, in favor of Lynchburg. Juan Árias led the way, going 3-for-4 for the home team. Héctor Miranda had a big 2-run home run for the Hillcats in the bottom of the fourth inning. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hillcats ahead, 5-2.
